Around noon you will reach Estancia Harberton, your Easternmost point, where you will board a smaller semi-rigid boat for 15-minute navigation towards Isla Martillo. On the island, you will enjoy a 1-hour hike with the guide, who will tell you about habits, characteristics and nesting grounds of Magellanic & Gentoos penguins that return here every year. These species are habituated alike albatrosses, petrels, skuas, cormorants, vultures, South American Terns, and other birds. Just north of Ushuaia is located the Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego, Argentina's first coastal national park. This adventure includes hiking and kayaking within the park. Hike through forests of both high and low deciduous beech, evergreen beech, winter bark, wire brush, and more in the first 3 and a half hours. After your hike, you'll rise into double kayaks and sail to isolated beaches and majestic places, just as the ancient Yamana tribe use to do thousands of years ago. The pristine water runs into Laguna Verde, one of the most scenic, picturesque spots in the park. Your exit point is Pataia Bay, where you may spot petrels, albatross, steamer ducks, and occasionally, penguins. You'll return to Ushuaia in the late afternoon.

Your four-day trekking adventure starts today as you hike through an ancient, subantarctic beech forest to the Piedras Blancas Glacier. Your route goes parallel with the Rio Blanco until you reach the toughest part of your trek, a fifty-minute climb that zigzags up a 45º slope. Your efforts are more than rewarded when you arrive at the eerily still glacial Laguna de Los Tres with one of Patagonia's, and possibly the world's, best scenic views! Enjoy lunch in the view of Mount Fitz Roy, which hangs above you amidst the clouds. Proceed on to your campsite at Poincenot.
