Head to Austral Fueguino train station passing by Valle Rio Pipo to board a train to the end of the World. Keep an eye out for a diverse species of birdlife and striking colors in the fall.

Your next turn should be Martial Glacier Hike. Hike the Martial Glacier, one of the most prominent natural attractions Ascend to the top and experience the breathtaking view of the islands in the Beagle Channel.

Embarkation will start in the afternoon at the port in Ushuaia. In the afternoon, join your fellow travelers for your group transfer and begin your journey towards Antarctica. Make sure you have your passport ready as you are about to start on the adventure of a lifetime. After embarkation is completed, enjoy the evening sailing through the Beagle Channel.

Day 2: Drake Passage/South Shetland Islands

The adventure starts with a 1000km (600mi) crossing of the Drake Passage. The passage has been named after the 16th-century English sea captain and privateer, Sir Francis Drake. Take in daily lectures from the expedition team and keep an eye out for the first glimpse of icebergs, albatross, and whales.

As the Expedition proceeds crossing the passage there will be time to become familiarized with the ship and many the common areas that include the dining hall, lounge, library and lecture hall. In the hall, we meet our guides, ship’s crew, and expedition staff.

Join lectures and information sessions to learn the remarkable human and natural history of the Antarctic region. During the journey, learn about some of the most remarkable and exciting expeditions to this remote corner of the world. Attend lectures conducted throughout the day on everything from local wildlife to geology to history. The expedition team is composed of professional and highly experienced marine biologists, historians, and naturalists. They offer keen insight and a uniquely personal view of each and every adventure.

Day 3: the South Shetland Islands/Antarctic Peninsula

This is what we've all been waiting for, an opportunity to step foot on the Great White Continent! Over the next 4 days, the Expedition will travel southwards with stops in the South Shetland Islands. Afterward, we will navigate through the Bransfield Strait and to the Antarctic Peninsula. Today you will set your foot on the Antarctic region for the first time in this excursion. Experience some of the most unique wildlife and view exciting scenery in the world while setting foot on the Antarctic continent. Depending on the weather, attempt two shore landings per day and encounter Chinstrap, Gentoo, and Adelie penguin rookeries, crabeater, Weddell, leopard, seals, and orca. You can also view humpback and minke whales in the cold Antarctic waters. Jump into one of the Expedition’s 14 activities and take the quick, board small boats for a safe trip from the ship to the shore to meet the awe-inspiring wilderness of Antarctica. Get up close to mounting icebergs, glaciers and marvelous wildlife. If you have not forgotten your swimming suit, opt to do the polar dive and jump into the freezing waters of the Antarctic. Convince some of your fellow travelers to join and you’ll be left with a marvelous experience that no one will ever forget! Our goal is to try two excursions per day while sailing through the area.

Day 4 to 6: The South Shetland Islands

Your real adventure will begin with touring the South Shetland Islands one of the most unique tourist destinations in Antarctica, they are populated by a large variety of seals, penguins – including Adelie and chinstrap, and seabirds. As the islands are straight on the way to the Antarctica Peninsula your cruise ships traveling there will stay at the South Shetland Islands, allowing you amazing photo opportunities in this beautiful scenery.

There are few regions in the world to be comparable to  Antarctica. As your ship reaches the White Continent, you may be overwhelmed by feelings of excitement and wonder. Much of Antarctica is incredible and can only be fully understood through your own eyes.

There is no other place on the planet more unbelievable, amazing or significant as Antarctica. The ‘White Continent’ has been a dream for travelers, adventurers, and explorers for ages, and with this Antarctica tourist guide, more opportunities are open for people to hit the bottom of the earth.

Chatting with penguins. The main attraction of any Antarctica tour is to interact with penguins. These are really the cutest animals in the world and watching them go about their daily lives will bring joy to anyone's heart. They walk through their penguin trails making their way to the sea in an excited fashion. It's delightful to see the spirit of penguins rushing about doing their job. Mothers guard their chicks and penguins call out to one another. But the most significant of all penguin encounters are when you sit peacefully and let the unique creatures come so close that they end up stepping on your legs or picking at your coat.

If you like camping, then there’s no place more interesting to sleep under the stars than in Antarctica. Supported by a high-quality bivy sack and warm outfits, camping in Antarctica will without any doubt be something you discuss for the rest of your life. Of course, being in a place as changeable and volatile as Antarctica implies the weather is a serious matter. That’s why it’s important to visit with a company that considers safety as its number one priority, and also has the type of tools fit for this adventure. You might not have enough sleep, but nothing will ever strike awaking up to sunrise on the snowy continent or viewing the stars gleam above you.

Day 7: Drake Passage/Ushuaia

Start the journey towards north for the home port of Ushuaia. Review the highlights of the Antarctic experience with the lecturers and experts. Keep open eyes on the observation deck for some last-minute whale sightings.

In between watching bird and whale, this is an opportunity to relax and review the adventures of the past week before returning to Ushuaia.
