DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Havana

Your 7-days Cuba tour will start with your arrival in Havana as a majority of international flights land here. It depends on the arrival time of your flight as to how much city exploration you can do on your first day. Upon arrival, your private guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your centrally located hotel. After check-in, the wise thing will be to relax in the comforts of your room and soak in the atmosphere of the city.

Day 2: Exploring Havana

Chances are that you won’t really get a chance to know Havana until your second day. Today, you’ll wish to begin with the best that this wonderful city has to offer, so make your way straight into the heart of Havana’s Old Town. This is the authentic village of Havana, and the city basically developed from these busy, sun-drenched streets. Get a general feeling for the area by starting in Plaza Vieja which is a central square and work your way around. In case the day happens to be warm, take a detour to the Malecon, which is a rather quaint waterfront walkway situated on the edge of the Old Town. Relish the ocean breezes, and then get right back into exploration. If you wish to witness the major points of the old town, then booking a walking tour is going to be a great idea.

Day 3: Venturing to Vedado

This morning, you can spend your time exploring more of Havana’s Old Town. However, there is more to Havana than this specific area. On your third day, head out to Vedado accompanied by your guide. Before the Cuban Revolution, Vedado used to be the most affluent part of the city and many of the striking homes have now been transformed as restaurants, bars, homestays, and entertainment venues. Take a stroll along Calle 23 as the sun goes down to witness the hip young things of Havana as they relax before a night out.

Day 4: One Day Tour of Vinales

Vinales is a spectacularly gorgeous village that takes about 2.5 hours from Havana by road. There are a number of day trips on offer, or you can also go as part of a guided tour. Much of Cuba’s tobacco is grown on the rich red earth here which ultimately end up in those world-famous cigars. It’s like stepping back in time here, and you can even witness farmers still using a horse and cart on their fields. This definitely is a must-see on your 7-days Cuban itinerary.

Day 5: Traversing to Trinidad

Your next destination requires a little more time to travel, but it really is worth it. Trinidad demonstrates colonial wealth that has now somewhat faded. Once, the town used to be exceptionally wealthy since it was the hub of Cuba’s sugar production. However, all this fell away when slavery was abolished and so the beauty of Trinidad possess a dark past. Thanks to its designation as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the town today has been hugely restored and you really need to spend an evening dancing at the Casa de la Musica under the sparkling stars.

Day 6: Exploring The Pearl of the South

Today is the time to turn around and make your way back to Havana. However, there is one destination on the way that really requires your attention. Cienfuegos, which is hugely settled by French migrants, is often referred to as the Paris of Cuba. Although the nickname given to the city as The Pearl of the South is more suitable. You can spot French influences throughout the city, from the broad boulevards to the real street names. Cienfuegos is a curious place that has been framed by its own cultural influences, giving it a unique character while still remaining truly Cuban.

Day 7: Returning Back to Havana

On your final day in Cuba, it’s now time to head back to where the magical tour started. Spend your last day in Havana exploring anything else that you wish to see or places you wish to revisit. Enjoy a drink on one of the many places in Old Havana or head out back to Vedado to enjoy a club. It’s just really crucial to give your time in Cuba an appropriate and well-deserving farewell. This 7-days Cuba tour is just one of many ways to spend a memorable week on the island. But this also offers you a chance to experience a few different parts of the island without spending much time on the road.
