DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Warsaw

As you land in Warsaw today, you’ll meet your private guide at the airport and will be transferred to your hotel. After check-in, the remaining day is yours to relax and explore the city at your own pace.

 

Day 2: Warsaw Exploration

This morning, embark on a city tour of Warsaw, the biggest Polish city and the capital of Poland. Warsaw is a city of contrasts where history merges with modernity. Sightseeing includes major attractions such as the Royal Route, the Palace of Culture, and Lazienki Garden. Visit the former Jewish ghetto and have the chance to witness the Umschlagplatz. Make sure to not miss the Old Town with characteristic Sigismund’s column and the Royal Castle. Listen to the legend of the Warsaw mermaid and capture a picture of Chopin’s Monument.

 

Day 3: A Tour of Wolf’s Lair and Gdansk

This morning, your guide will pick you up from the hotel and take you for a journey north to Mazury region. It was exactly here, where Hitler chose for his headquarters in the middle of the woods of the “Land of Thousand Lakes”. During World War 2, he spent here over 800 days and escaped the failed attempt of assassination on his life in 1944. After the walking tour and exploration of Wolf’s Lair, continue your journey to Gdansk. Your dinner and overnight stay will be in Gdansk.

 

Day 4: Tricity Tour

The area known as Tricity includes Gdansk, Gdynia, and Sopot. The three cities differ from each other significantly. Gdansk is known for its architecture and monuments while Sopot, famous spa resort enthralls with the atmosphere of relaxation and peace. Gdynia is a most modern city and in its refuge, you will discover “Dar Pomorza”, the gorgeous tall ship. Make sure to not miss the Oliwa cathedral where you will get to listen to a mind-blowing, 20 minutes organ concert. Return back to Gdansk for dinner and overnight stay.

 

Day 5: Exploring Gdansk

Enjoy a full day at leisure today in Gdansk. Later, explore shops and galleries or just simply relax at a cafe. Overnight stay in Gdansk.

 

Day 6: One Day Tour of Malbork Castle

Today morning, get ready for a morning drive through the scenic Pomerania region to the splendid Malbork Castle. It was constructed by Teutonic Knights in the Middle Ages and till date is the world’s largest Gothic fortress made of bricks. The castle is restored beautifully and its magnificent interiors contain captivating exhibitions and wonderful collection of amber. After 2 hours of sightseeing, continue your journey to the south till you reach Poznan. Dinner in a local restaurant and overnight stay.

 

Day 7: Poznan Tour

Boasting over a thousand years of history, Poznan is one of the oldest cities in the country. Stroll around the Old Town and witness the 13th-century town hall with the popular billy-goat clock. On the Market Square, discover the pillory that was used in order to punish people for minor offenses. After lunch, you will board a train to Wroclaw, the capital of Lower Silesia region. The guide will pick you up from the railway station and transfer to your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Wroclaw.

 

Day 8: Heading to Wroclaw

A city of 12 islands and 112 bridges, Wroclaw is a beautiful Polish city. Wander through a historic center with a local guide and listen to the tales about the city. Visit the gorgeous Aula Leopoldina, mysterious Ostrow Tumski Island and witness the glorious Town Hall. Walk around the Old Town praising Renaissance and Baroque tenement houses. Afterward, make your way to the Centennial Hall, the UNESCO Heritage Site. The afternoon is free for you to relax. Overnight stay in Wroclaw.

 

Day 9: Visiting Auschwitz and Krakow

Your guide will meet you at the hotel’s lobby and take you east to Krakow. En route, make a halt at Auschwitz in order to visit the Nazi Concentration Camp. Around 1.5 million people were killed there during the Second World War and that is the reason why it needs to be preserved as a reminder of inhumanity and warning for future generations. The guided tour will last for 3-5 hours and will also include sightseeing of Auschwitz II Birkenau. After a lunch break, continue your journey and reach Krakow by evening. Your next three nights will be spent at this place. Enjoy dinner in a local restaurant.

 

Day 10: Krakow Sightseeing Tour

Today is reserved for Krakow sightseeing. Walk along gorgeous Kanonicza and Grodzka streets, enjoy the ambiance of the Main Market Square and listen to the buggle call from the tower of St. Mary’s Church. Visit the Wawel Hill and witness the Cathedral where the Kings of Poland were buried. After a lunch break, a trip to Kazimierz, the old Jewish quarter is recommended. It is an exceptional place with numerous cafes, restaurants, and clubs. Feel the magic in the atmosphere and explore the streets of Kazimierz district. In the evening, you’ll be invited to a Chopin piano concert.

 

Day 11: Visiting Jasna Gora Monastery and Wieliczka

Begin the day by traversing north into Czestochowa where you will get the chance to see the magical icon of the Black Madonna. Visit the fortified Jasna Gora Monastery accompanied by your guide. It has been protected by Pauline monks since the 14th century. Afterward, continue your journey for Wieliczka to explore the medieval salt mine. Founded in the 13th century, it nowadays draws over 1.2 million visitors each year and is one of the greatest attractions in Poland. Return back to Krakow for dinner and overnight stay.

 

Day 12: Departure Back Home

Following breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the international airport for your flight back home.
