Day 1: Arriving at LVIV – The Cultural Capital of Ukraine

Lviv is situated in Western Ukraine at about 70km from Poland’s border.  Lviv also lies quite nearby to borders of Slovakia, Austria, Hungary, and Romania. This tiny European styled city is also famously known as ‘Paris Of Europe’. Lviv was a part of Poland earlier and later in 1939, the city became a part of Ukraine.  In Lviv, you’ll discover Polish styled architectures having the influence of Soviet style. Lviv also boasts plenty of restaurants and cafes. In case you happen to be on diet then avoid going to Lviv as the city is heaven for all the foodies and possess many uniquely themed cafes.  Lviv is also known for its coffee and chocolate manufacturing units.

 

Day 2: A One Day Tour of Tunnel Of Love at Klevan Town

The place is truly a natural wonder in Klevan town, which is situated approximately 350 km from Kiev and around 200 km from Lviv.  This fairytale kind of destination is one of the most romantic places not in Ukraine but also in Europe. The old, mystic, Industrial Railway line which is covered with interwoven bushes and trees is going to surprise you with its distinctive beauty. Though the stretch is just 6 km long it creates an illusion that the Tunnel of Love is an infinite or endless stretch.  In ancient times, during the war, the track was strategically used to transfer arms and goods from one place to the other through train hiding under the bushes. However, due to its endearing and dreamy kind of appearance, this is quite popular for Love among couples as they take romantic vows under this charming tunnel. Make sure to apply lots of mosquito repellant before you enter bushes as there are a lot of flies, bees, and mosquitoes.

 

Day 3: A trip to the Black Sea Beach At Odessa

Odessa is one of the famous party destinations of Ukraine having numerous beach shacks, clubs and bars. The city also boasts a beautiful historical center which is inspired by Greek and Turkish architectures. This Port city situated on the Black Sea is a famous summer beach town having beautiful blue-blackish sea, Opera and ballet theaters, parks, and historical monuments.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     

Day 4: Visiting Kiev – The Capital City of Ukraine

Kiev is the capital city of Ukraine and also one of the oldest cities in Eastern Europe. River Dnipro divides the city into two sections - Historical Kiev (Upper Neighbourhood) and Modern Kiev (Lower Neighbourhood). Kiev is considered to be the best example of reinvention and transition as it has been destroyed a number of times in the past.  Kiev boasts a renowned history with the great confluence of Western and Russian cultures. The history of Kiev that dates back to 1500 years can be illustrated through plenty of cathedrals, churches, and monuments.

Day 5: Heading For Carpathian Mountain Tour

Carpathian is referred to as green Pearl of Ukraine having emerald lakes, dense & wild forests, rugged mountain lines, meadows, rough rivers, and gushing waterfalls. Enjoy a tour of the hazy Carpathian for pure mountain air and you can also go skiing here during winters as there are a number of ski resorts here. During summers, you can opt for forest and mountain hikes along the borders of Slovakia, Romania, and Poland.  Lviv is a closet city as it is situated on the foothills of Carpathians. You can either choose to base yourself in Lviv and head out for a day trip to these mountains or can also camp in small towns in the Carpathians.

 

Day 6: An amazing Photoshoot in Sunflower Field

Ukraine is one of the biggest exporters of Sunflowers in the entire world.  There are plenty of widely-spread sunflower fields with full blooms across the country either towards South-East or North-West regions. You can take a small halt while going through a road trip anywhere in between and can shoot most wonderful Instagrammable shots.

 

Day 7: A Road trip

You can either opt to drive yourself or rent a taxi and go for a road trip to various cities having beautiful countryside views on your sides. You will be passing through numerous lush green forests, tall trees, and agricultural fields en route. Enjoy your one-day nature drive in Ukraine.

 

Day 8: Camping beside Lake

Day 10: A tour to Strategic Missile Force Museum

Enjoy a day of unique tour to this Missile Museum which used to be quite active in the Cold war, Soviet era. It houses underground bunkers, nuclear weapons, passages, and situated 300 km from Kiev on the way to Odessa. Get the true onsite experience of going inside the missile launchers, tunnels with some properly guided tours available here. In present times, these missiles are not functional. However, this actual site is open for tourists for tours.

 

Day 11: Enjoying Castle Tours

There are numerous castles in tiny towns, countrysides, and villages near Lviv,  Kiev, and also en route through Kiev to Lviv, you will be passing along few of them. You can have a small halt for climbing up high and getting some scenic views of nearby villages.
