Detailed Itinerary

Day 1:Welcome to Zambia

Meet your private guide at Lusaka airport, who will transfer you to your hotel. Set off with your guide on an introductory tour of the city. Following that, enjoy a lavish dinner at an excellent restaurant before retiring to your resort for the night. Enjoy the night in the guest house with a private fire pit where you can relax under the stars and listen to the sounds of nocturnal animals.

Day 2:Full-Day Tour of Lusaka

Today, explore the charming streets of the beautiful city of Lusaka. Wake up early in the morning, head straight to the popular elephant orphanage, and spend time with the gigantic animals taken care of by the orphanage people. After visiting the elephant orphanage, head out to the local markets and look for restaurants to satisfy your hunger cramps. After lunch, roam the streets and explore the shops.

Day 3:Famous South Luangwa National Park

Meet your private guide at Mfuwe International airport, who will transfer you to your hotel. You can also opt for onsite camping for more spectacular views. Set off with your guide for an introductory stroll around the park. Envelop yourself in the serene natural environment before retiring to your resort for the night.

Day 4:Game Drive in South Luangwa National Park

The next morning, wake up to the quirky sound of the park. You wont need an alarm clock to wake up early as the sounds of the birds and the animals would be enough to make you leave the bed and jump to the balcony of your room. Enjoy breakfast, after which your guide will take you to the park to start the big game drive in South Luangwa National Park. It is hard to predict which animals you will encounter at what time of the day, except for a few. So, roaming with a local bushman who knows this place very well is quintessential. With the help of the guide and the local bushman, find out many of the spots, including the waterholes that are frequently visited by the animals.

Day 5:Camping in South Luangwa National Park

Today, relax in the morning before continuing on for an afternoon game drive. Halt the drive for sundowners in the bush, continuing the drive till late at night. Spend the night in the stars and in front of a campfire, collectively contributing to a marvelous camping experience. Do not expect silence in the park, as the hippos in the river wont let that happen. It would be a noisy night in the camp, so be prepared for that.

Day 6:Small Luambe National Park

Luambe National Park is a small park sandwiched between the North and South Luangwa National Park. Known mainly for the water hippos, the park is ideal for travelers on a Zambia safari tour. Arrive late afternoon, which might delay your lunch timings in the lodge. If you can, arrive with a packed lunch to save some hours for game driving. The good part about todays tour is that you can start the tour as soon as you reach the lodge. Get done with your lunch and head directly to the park for a late afternoon game drive.

Day 7:The Hippos of Luambe National Park

Today, enjoy an early breakfast before your guide drives you in a safari vehicle to the Luambe National Park for a spectacular game drive. Apart from the hippos, find the park carrying some spectacular species of birds, hyenas, buffalos, and elephants. Explore the park to the fullest and take a peek at the rare and exotic bird species that make the park home at specific times of the year.

Day 8:Scenery of North Luangwa National Park

Today, your guide will drive you in a private vehicle from Luambe to North Luangwa National Park, which is full of stunning scenery. Soak your eyes with the incredible views of rural Zambia. Cross a pontoon over the Luangwa River into the North Park in the mid-afternoon to reach your first stop at the stunning Buffalo Camp located on the Mwaleshi River. The camp is simple but has many things to admire, including hot water for a shower, cold drinks, and plenty of wildlife excitement. Opt for scenic walking safaris in this true wilderness when in the park. Watch buffalos muddling their horns, lions living in pride in the park, and many other wild animals who add value to the park.

Day 9:Departure

Today, your private guide will transfer you to the airport for your international departure.
