Today, you will be taking your flight to the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (LUN). This airport is around 27 km away from Lusaka, the capital city of Zambia. This is the fourth day of your Zambia Safari package! Today you are going to enjoy the big game in the Luangwa River valley. You are going to enjoy seeing Cape buffalo and Elephants as they swim in and around the River. And, you will love the spectacle of antelope with wonderful patterns of Crawshay’s zebra grazing in the park.
In addition to that, in different parts of the park, you will see the intriguing homes made by baboons and Vervet monkies. It’s lovely to see how they interact and call each other from the canopy of the tree. You will also be seeing hyenas, lions, and wild dogs here. And, you cannot miss those Cookson’s wildebeest and the Thornicroft’s giraffes who are specifically found here in South Luangwa National Park. At the end of the day, enjoy your dinner and return back to your den.
This is the fifth day of your Zambia Safari package! Today, you will be returning to the airport for two short flights. You will be flying to the Lower Zambezi National Park through Lusaka. At the airstrip, you will be meeting your guide. He is going to take you to the camp by way of a game drive. Along the way, you can stop and watch the swarm of wild, and beautiful animals.
Lower Zambezi National Park is located in the Southern part of Zambia and on the border of Zimbabwe. Zambezi River valley in this region is well known for teeming wildlife that includes herds of elephants, buffalo, and fish eagles. You are also going to see crocodiles and hippos here. And, in the Eastern part of it, you will be enjoying the stunning view of the red cliffs of Mupata Gorge. The northern region has rugged and steep Zambezi Escarpment.
Today you will be enjoying a wonderful game viewing that is offered at the Chongwe River Lodge. Today will be the day to enjoy some water-based activities and also there will be some game-viewing sessions that will be done on the boat safari. And, at the end of the day, you will also be going for an evening game drive.
This is going to be your last day at Lower Zambezi National Park! Today you are going to try tiger fishing in the river. Zambezi River is found to be the fourth largest of all the Rivers of the African continent. And, it has the most popular freshwater game fish in Africa, called as the Tiger Fish. It is also sometimes referred to as “striped water dog” and is an aggressive predator and it feeds itself on baitfish. Today, you will also be trying your hands at tiger fishing. Victoria Falls Town is located in the Western part of Zimbabwe! This place is home to a variety of giant waterfalls bearing the same name. Before flowing through a series of gorges, the Zambezi River falls into the into the Boiling Pot. And, when you are in Victoria Falls Town, you are also going to see elephants and rhinos. You are going to enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of the Victoria Falls. Today you will be leaving the camp and will be flying back to the Lusaka from where you will be transferred to Ilala Lodge in Zimbabwe across the border. You are going to spend two days here.
