Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Kenya

Welcome to Nairobi, a cosmopolitan city full of colors and contrasts. You will land at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport where your personal guide will meet you at the exit doors. You will be transferred to your hotel through a luxurious rented vehicle. The drive from the airport to the hotel won’t be too long but it would be long enough to let your eyes soak the scenic beauty of the surroundings. Do not just sit into the vehicle and wait to reach the hotel. Instead, peak out of the windows and try to soak up the serene beauty that suburbs, green parks, and dusty streets are trying to offer. Reach the hotel and savor the views from the balcony. Though stepping out in the late evening is not recommended on day one, you can still celebrate the beginning of your Kenya Safari tour with luscious drinks and scrumptious meals in the swimming pool. Relax in the sauna and rest up because this is just the beginning.

Day 2-4: Meru National Park

After spending your first day in the hotel room, it’s time to move on to the next destination which the Meru National Park. In Kenya, Meru holds a significant place in terms of main attractions. For the next three days, this guide will be your mentor who will assist you to the many trails and paths of Meru National Park.

You will stay in an offbeat Meru Camp which is nestled into a beautiful riverine forest, overlooking the Bisandi River. The camp will offer you a nonstop view of animals drinking water from the river. You can witness their actions from the comfort of the camp which is awesome. While sitting in the camp, you will be able to notice the minor details like how does drinking capabilities of an impala differ from that of a baby elephant. Some sip eagerly some sip slowly, and you will get to notice all this from the comfort of your camp.

Your morning in Meru will mainly be made by the quirky sounds of wildlife. Sometimes, it would the strong roar of lions who will make you jump out of your bed, and sometimes it would be the collective sounds of 300 birds flying above your camp. Either way, the mornings in Meru are going to be wonderful.

In the noon, you can plan a couple of activities. Your guide will assist you with the best available options. You can book your days for trekking, hiking, or simply exploring the untamed corners of the park. You can leave for a hunt of predators or simply opt to enjoy a bonfire outside your camp. Day 5: Laikipia Hills

Today, you will head to the west crossing rural Kenya and land to the Laikipia Plateau. While the Laikipia hills are not as famous as the national parks of Kenya, but they have a unique safari experience to offer. There vast rural expanse is located between the  Rift Valley and Mount Kenya. It is home to a wide range of mammals and birds which you should not miss watching on your Kenya Safari tour. You can explore the wildlife by foot, on horseback, or even from the back of a camel. Not only this, you can even opt for a private vehicle to go deeper into this animal kingdom. Day 6: Masaai Mara

Day 8: Departure
