Out of all the pictures uploaded on the internet with the label Namibia, more than half would of the stunning views of Sossusvlei. The dunes in this part of the desert are the highest and hence cannot be missed from any camera lens. These fascinating dunes will make you yearn to explore every section of it during your full-day guided tour to Sossusvlei. Although Sossusvlei is the top-most attraction of Namibia, still the high dunes and the widespread desert collectively contribute to give you a feeling of complete solitude. Witnessing these dunes in person, especially at the times of sunset and sunrise is incredible. Could you have anything better on the mind than the stunning dunes of Sossusvlei for the first day of your Namibia safari vacations?

Another thing that you can do to make your day special and exciting is to watch the sunrise at Dune 45. It is not the highest dune of the desert but is definitely the popular one. There are many things that make it popular among travelers of which the location is one. It is located nearby to the road which makes it quite accessible to reach.

However, in a bid to witness the stunning view of sunrise at Dune 45, you will have to compete with a mad rush at the gate of Namib-Naukluft which opens a few minutes before the sunrise. This means, there are chances that you do not get to witness the sunrise even after waking up early in the morning and struggling with the long queues at the gate. To avoid this, plan to stay overnight in one of the nearby camps. This way, you will become one of the camp members who and hence will be allowed to enter the gate much before the sunrise. So, stay in the camp, wake up at 4 AM, and enter the Namib-Naukluft to witness the most stunning sunrise you have ever watched.

Day 3: The Photogenic Deadvlei

After witnessing the stunning sunrise of Sossusvlei, do not waste your time going back to the hotel. Instead of that, you can utilize it better by visiting Deadvlei which is next to Sossusvlei. As per its name, Deadvlei is a hub of dead marsh which has resulted into an array of dead plants who stand tall in the white clay sand of the desert. The climatic conditions and drought situation has separated these trees from water long ago. Nevertheless, they are still beautiful.

And, above the photogenic trees, you get an incredible backdrop of some of the tallest dunes which can do wonders for your #DoItForInsta pictures. So, if you were looking for a wonderful place where you can get some Instagram friendly pictures, Deadvlei would be an ideal choice. Booking a full day in Dealvlei is all that you need.

Day 4: Marvel at the Quivers at the Quiver Tree Forest

Seeing the gorgeous yet dead trees of Deadvlei would have inspired you to see more and more trees during your Namibia Safari Vacation and if this is the case, then your next destination can be none other than the Quiver Tree Forest. Located 14 km north-east of the town of Keetmanshoop, the Quiver Tree Forest boasts more than 300 unique quiver trees that are dead gorgeous. Though you might have spotted a few during the first three days of the trip, but at the forest, they are in available in large numbers. Witnessing so many unique quivers at one space is truly overwhelming and you could not miss clicking pictures with them. However, make sure not to touch the pointed end of the trees as they are said to release the poisonous substance.

Day 5-7: Etosha National Park

Trees and dunes are fine but could you imagine a safari without the wilds? Of course, not. That is why we have kept the most entertaining and adventurous part of the trip at the end. The remaining days of your Namibia safari vacation will spend doing an amazing yet affordable safari in the famous Etosha National Park. Unlike other trips, you won’t have to leave heavy-hearted from Africa. Since the most exciting part awaits you at the end of the trip, you will find yourself excited even on the last day of the trip and that makes the difference.

Etosha National Park is one of the best parks in Africa. However, many travelers visit Namibia do not have safaris on their mind and that’s because of the low number of parks in the country. But, this should be the reason. After all, Etosha is in Namibia and it is enough to give you the real taste of wild Africa. You will get to see the rhinos, lions, giraffes, jackals, and so much more in the park. The roads in the park are not in terrible form and hence you can think of self-driving for an intimate game drive.

Another thing that makes Etosha stand out from others is the scarcity of water in the park. Since the number of water holes is sparse, the animals residing are forced to quench their thirst in the limited water holes. This means you can sit at any one of the water holes and see animals coming from kilometers away for water. Another highlight of the park is that it is super affordable. You can easily explore the park for two days without losing your packet much. Could you be more grateful about this?

Day 8: Departure

Your 8 days Tour in Namibia is finally completing and today you will be saying Cheerios to the scenic beauty of this place. With lots of special memories in your heart, you will transfer to the airport for a happy return. Do not miss to enjoy your farewell breakfast in the hotel before the exit formalities.
