Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in London

Welcome to London, the capital of England and the United Kingdom, known for its grandeur and magnificence. You will be warmly escorted by your tour guide, who will transport you to a luxury hotel.
 

Set off on an introductory tour of Londons most iconic architecture. Youll see Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Piccadilly Circus,  St. Pauls Cathedral, Downing Street, Buckingham Palace, and Westminster Abbey. 

Day 2: Explore the lives of the royals

After breakfast, head to the famous  Madame Tussauds to see the wax figures of your favorite celebrities and historical icons. Proceed to the infamous Tower of London, which played a crucial and often dark role in English history. Take a leisurely cruise on the Thames river in the evening. 

Day 3: London Your Way

Your travel advisor can tailor this day to your interests. Just a few of the many options are The National Gallery, Victoria and Albert Museum, the Tate Modern, taking in a West End show, or one of our top picks, a tour of Hampton Court Palace.

Day 4: Delve into the mystery of Stonehenge

Your guide will take you to Stonehenge by private car. The prehistoric and mysterious monument has a ring of vertical standing stones, each around 13 feet high, seven feet wide, and weighing around 25 tons. Continue to Bath for the well-preserved 2000-year-old Roman Baths. Check into your hotel in Bath.

Day 5: Witness the heritage of Chester

After breakfast, your guide will transport you from Bath to Chester, known for its historic city walls, built nearly 2,000 years ago. The quaint town stands on the banks of river Dee. Romans constructed the walls to protect the fortress of Deva Victrix. Tour the ancient cathedrals and the Roman Amphitheater. Chester is also known for its market hall with an eclectic mix of vendors. 

Day 6: Bask in the natural beauty of the Lake District

Your guide will drive you to Lake District, Englands largest National Park, known for its stunning forests, mountains, and of course, lakes. If you are an adventure lover, trek the Scafell Pike, the highest mountain in the Lake District. Or, visit the Wastwater, a gorgeous lake surrounded by mountains. En route, stop at Grasmere, the home of famous English poet William Wordsworth. You can also see the former homes of other renowned poets like John Ruskin and Beatrix Potter.

Day 7: Explore the Scottish capital of Edinburgh

Your guide will drive you north into Scotland today. In the vibrant capital, Edinburgh, check into your hotel for a two-night stay. Take an introductory walk through the cobblestone streets and then proceed to Calton Hill, one of the most prominent hills in the city, for a panoramic view. Head back to the hotel for the night.

Day 8: Stroll Edinburghs Royal Mile

Today you will tour along the Royal Mile, which connects the stunning Edinburgh Castle and the Holyrood House palace, with many architectural gems (as well as shops, pubs, and restaurants) along the way. For lunch, your guide will take you to the finest restaurant in Edinburgh for an authentic Scottish meal.

Day 9: Wander through charming York

Your guide will drive you to historic York in North Yorkshire, situated between London and Edinburgh. York is known for its small historical museums, covering topics ranging from railways to Vikings. Climb up Cliffords Tower to get stunning views of the city. Harry Potter fans can take a walk through the Shambles, an inspiration for part of the wizarding world. End the day by visiting the marvelous York Minster, a 7th-century English Gothic cathedral known for its incredible architecture. 

Day 10: Return to London

Your guide will transport you back to London for your international departure flight. Time permitting, stop in the beautiful university town of Cambridge along the way.
