Detailed Itinerary

(Day 1 to 3): Istanbul

Istanbul is the most well-known city in Turkey! It is sometimes referred to as the historical, cultural, and economic center of the country. Not only in the Middle East, but Turkey is a much sought-after tourist destination in the world. You will be landing in Istanbul with this 12-days Turkey package 2019.

  • You are going to start this Private Tour in Turkey by taking a walk at the Grand Bazaar. This one is the largest markets in Istanbul with around 5000 shops and 60 streets. This Bazaar is most famous for spices, lanterns, jewelry, and ceramics.

  • Then you will be moving towards Hagia Sophia, soaking in its architecture and history. Initially, it was built as a cathedral, which then converted to museum in 1935.

  • Sultan Ahmed Mosque is going to be your next stop! It’s also famously called the Blue Mosque and the name has been derived from the blue tiles with which its interior wall has been done.

  • Next stop would be Topkapi Palace, and this has been one of the major tourist attractions Ottoman sultans for around 400 years.

(Day 4 & 5): Cappadocia

Cappadocia will take you through the incredible history of Turkey! It takes around 1.5 hours to fly from Istanbul to Cappadocia. The place is not exactly a city but is a cascade of plateaus, volcanic peaks, and giant buildings.  Unlike you would ever consider, this place has a lot of things to do.

  • You will be beginning the fourth day of your Turkey private tour by taking a hot air balloon ride. This cannot be missed when you are in Cappadocia. And, taking the spectacular view of the hills from the air is an incredible thing.

  • The next thing to do in Cappadocia is visiting the  Open-Air Museum. This is a monastic historical complex, which has many rock-cut churches, monasteries, frescoes, and chapels dating back to the Byzantine Empire. The Open-Air Museum is one of the two UNESCO listed sites in Turkey.

  • You will then be moving towards the fairy chimneys (rock formation), that is one of the most attractive things about Cappadocia. Fairy chimneys are about 30 meters tall, formed in the shape of the mushroom.

  • The next thing to do in Cappadocia is exploring the Göreme National Park and its underground cities. This park is beautifully located between the Erciyes Mountain and Hasan Mountain.

(Day 6 - 8): Antalya

Located on the Mediterranean coast, Antalya is the biggest city of Riviera. Known largely for its beautiful beaches, it is today mostly known for being a sea resort. You will be taking your flight from Nevsehir to Antalya. It takes around an hour by air! But, since the flight runs just 5 days a week, you can hire a bus or car if you are flying on the off days.

  • You will walk through the some of the city’s most beautiful architectural buildings including Roman, Ottoman, Seljuk, and Byzantine.

  • Next thing that you can do here is swimming through the Mediterranean Sea at the Düden Waterfalls.

  • Düden River running from the Taurus Mountains to the Mediterranean Sea creates two very famous waterfalls including Lower Düden Waterfalls and Upper Düden Waterfalls.

  • Then you will be visiting the Antalya Archaeological Museum and learn about the history of this place. You will get to see here around 5000 art pieces.

(Day 9): Bodrum

Bodrum, the port city of Turkey in the south-west of the Aegean Region is one of the top vacation spots in Turkey. One of the most important places to visit in Bodrum is the Mausoleum of Mausolus, which is one listed site among seven wonders of the ancient world. The best way recommended to travel from Antalya to Bodrum is traveling by car. You can see a significant part of the country then.

  • You will be starting your trip by making a visit to the Bodrum castle. Built-in the 15th century, this castle was built with stones and marble columns of the original mausoleum. You will today see it as a Museum of Underwater Archeology.  

  • Then you will be visiting the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus. It was a tomb built in 350 BC. Between the 12th to 15th century most of it was destroyed by an earthquake.

(Day 10 - 12): Izmir

Now you are left with three more days on your Turkey Package 2019, and you will be in one of the most populous cities of Turkey in these last three days. You can either take a bus or continue driving to travel from Bodrum to Izmir.

  • Your trip with be starting by taking a walk along the Konak Pier and Kordonboyu. Walking along Konak Pier from the coast of the Aegean Sea is extremely calming. You can soak in the sea breeze and enjoy the lovely panorama here.

  • Then move along the Asansör, where you can find the perfect view of the Izmir. Asansör, the structure built-in 1907 in the quest of making a way to the coastline of Karata?. Also, there was an elevator built to bring people and goods from the cliff.

  • Another wonderful thing to do here is a shop in the Kemeralti Market. You will get a chance to shop here in a variety of wonderful shops. Kemeralti Market is indeed the smaller version of Grand Bazaar.

  • You will also get to see here the oldest mosque of Turkey named as Hisar Mosque. This mosque was built during the reign of Ottoman Empire.

  • After this make a visit to the Izmir Clock Tower. This tower is 25 meters tall located in Konak Square.

  • Then venture out to take trip to Ephesus. One of the seven wonders of the ancient world the Temple of Artemis is located in this part of the city.
