Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arriving in Oslo and checking in

The first day would be your arrival at the Oslo International Airport where the most of the International tourists get down. The tour operators would happily arrange for an assisted transfer from the Airport to the pre-booked hotel. You can take rest or immediately set off as there would be lots waiting for you to conquer on your way out. Tell your tour operator to book you near the city center as it is close to the train station and a great base to explore the city.

Day 2: Conquering the beauty of Oslo

On the second day of the tour, you will have plenty of places to visit in Oslo and hence planning an itinerary would be a great help to you. There are some must-see sights such as Opera House, Vigeland Sculpture Park, Karl Johans Gate (pedestrian shopping street), The National Gallery (home of Munch’s “The Scream”), The Viking Ship Museum, the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History, and the Nobel Peace Center.  For souvenir purchasing, there are some awesome places and things like Viking drinking cups, trolls, national dresses, etc., there is a store named as the Den Norske Husfliden store located in the basement of the GlasMagasinet Stortovet on the corner of Stortovet and Torrggata. Visit all the places and plan your overnight stay at Oslo as it is one of the most beautiful capitals of the world.

Day 3: Sognefjord – Norway’s longest, deepest, and most well-known fjord

On the third day of the tour, you will be transferred from Oslo to Bergen with a stop and see and Cruise on the largest fjord of Norway, the Sognefjord. To get here, the tour operator would plan for a combination of trains, buses, and ferries for 12-hour trip. The road will be the greatest adventure of your life because of the outside scenery where you will stick yourself to the windows. You can use a porter service to ferry your luggage as visitors need to take a lot of luggage in cold temperatures. At Bergen, you will be booked a hotel where the nightlife is awesome.

Day 4: Bergen – A colorful city that serves as the gateway to the fjords

The fourth day of the trip would be visiting some of the most beautiful locations of Norway at Bergen. It has some of the most colorful historical buildings and is a nice retreat from the hustles of Oslo and that of your city as well. Walk around the historical Wharf and see the wooden houses. Grab some lunch at the Fish Market and shop for souvenirs at this place which mostly deal in Viking souvenirs.

Consider a visit to the Dale of Norway factory outlet and Museum in the small village of Dale which is just 45 minutes from Bergen. Here you can learn about the famous sweaters of Norway and see the production live. You can even shop sweaters, coats, and accessories at big discounts there. In the evening time, be there to take the cable car to the top of the Bergen’s highest of its seven mountains for a view of the city with sunset glorifying it.

Day 5: Visit Geirangerfjord – A UNESCO World Heritage Site and the Jewel of Norwegian fjords

On the fifth day of the tour, you can take a rental car from Avis and get to the town of Geiranger. It would take around 3 hours to get there but in the way you can find at least 4 stops to make up for a great photography session. You’ll even get a taste of driving on some switchbacks with hairpin turns as you make your way down the steep mountain to Geiranger at the end of your journey today. Explore the little town of Geiranger which is one of the sweetest places to be in Norway, courtesy to its chocolate shops and souvenir shops. Take the morning Geirangerfjord Sightseeing Cruise at 9:30 AM to see the best places there. Take this evening to relax and reflect as you enjoy the scenery and slow pace of life in Geiranger.

Day 6: Transfer to Oslo and Departure.

You will be transferred to Oslo the next day by your tour operators and prepare for departure.
