Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Shanghai

Upon arrival, you will be met by your private guide at the airport and taken to your hotel. The remaining of the day is at leisure to acclimatize and relax. Explore the city at your own pace.

Day 2: Shanghai Exploration

In the morning explore city of Shanghai The private cycling tour takes you through the French Concession, with its aesthetic Art Deco villas, before you plunge into the backstreets and alleyways of isolated residential areas and the maze of narrow streets that make up Shanghai old town to witness the daily life of local people.

 

After lunch, visit the Jade Buddha temple is highly suggested, which is one of the few working monasteries in the city, as well as the colonial waterfront of the Bund, where you can look across at the advanced skyscrapers of the Pudong district. As evening draws near, visit the Fuxing Park and the fascinating Propaganda Poster Art Centre. Return to your hotel for dinner.

Day 3: Venturing to Huang Shan

Today, you will be transferred to the railway station to catch your bullet train to Huang Shan in Anhui province. The journey takes approximately 4.5 hours. On reaching, you will be met by your private guide and transferred to your hotel. The remaining of the day is free for you to explore Tunxi Ancient Street. Dating back to the Song Dynasty (960-1279AD), the street is dotted with Chinese traditional medicine pharmacies and shops, that sell curios and knick-knacks. Also visit the two fascinating museums, Tunxi Museum, and Wan Cui Lou, with exhibitions of Ming and Qing furniture, paintings and calligraphy, ceramic, as well as other cultural relics. Have a lavish dinner and return to your hotel.

Day 4: A Private Tour of Huang Shan

Leave Huang Shan this morning accompanied by your private guide, who will take you on the cable car up to the top of Huang Shan and enjoy an overnight stay. Later in the afternoon, you will discover the wealth of magnificent views, which imparts a mysterious feel to the mountain. Go hiking along covered walking trails at the top of the mountain accompanied by your guide. End your day at the summit to view the perfect sunset.

Day 5: One Day Tour of Hangzhou

Today, depart on a 3-hour private transfer to the city of Hangzhou. On reaching, you will meet your private guide who will escort you to your hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy a tour of Hu Xueyans former residence. Continue your journey to Hu Qing Yu Tang traditional Chinese medicine pharmacy which was founded by Hu Xueyan in 1874. Observe how the staff handles the herbs and ingredients and youll witness locals waiting while their own packets are prepared. The museum attached offers further useful insight into its origins and theories. In the evening, witness the Impression West Lake show; an extravaganza of lights, music, dance, and theatrics, followed by a delicious dinner before returning to the hotel.

Day 6: Heading to Zhangjiajie

Today, youll visit the West Lake. Considered one of the most gorgeous sights in Hangzhou, this picturesque lake is sheltered on three sides by hills. Take a short stroll along the Su Causeway before you enjoy a leisurely cruise on the lake. After the excursion, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Zhangjiajie. On reaching, you will be met by your private guide and taken to your hotel.

Day 7: Exploring Zhangjiajie

Start your exploration of Zhangjiajie, well-known for its unpredictable peaks, dense forests, streams, and huge karst caves. Wander along the worlds longest and highest glass-bottomed bridge that provides stunning views of the Grand Canyon below. Afterward, embark on a picturesque 2-hour walk downstairs formed into a thin crevasse in the canyon wall to the Grand Canyon before you board a boat ride to the exit. Later in the afternoon, visit Baofeng Lake. 'The Abode of Immortals in the World', Baofeng Lake is a picturesque area located just outside of the national park. Then, embark on a short boat ride on the lake and your guide will narrate the origins of the names of some of these rock formations. Return to your hotel for dinner.

Day 8: Visiting Guangzhou

Make your way to Tianmenshan (Heavens Gate Mountain) accompanied by your private guide. Hop on a stunning cable car ride to Tianmenshan, a limestone karst mountain that towers above Zhangjiajie City. Embark on a 30-minute ride to the top of the mountain, crossing over a number of sceneries from the rooftops of the city to the picturesque patchwork of rice and rapeseed terraces. After admiring the views, return back by cable car to the halfway point to board a minibus up to the huge arch known as Tianmen Cave. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Guangzhou. On reaching, a guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. Spend your evening exploring the night life at Guangzhou before returning to your hotel.

Day 9: Departure Back Home

Today, you will be transferred to the airport by your private guide for your return flight.
