Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Delhi

Today you begin your India tour as you board your international flight to Delhi.

On arrival, you're met by your private guide at the airport and taken to your hotel. The remaining of the day is at leisure. If you wish to explore the city on your own today, you can visit Lodi Gardens, which is a relaxing place to enjoy the green spaces of Delhi and discover Mughal tombs.

 

Day 2: Exploring Delhi

Today’s guided tour of the capital highlights the exceptional contrast between Old and New Delhi. Your excursion includes the Jama Masjid which is the largest Friday mosque in India. From here, a walk with your guide in the heart of Old Delhi is highly suggested - an amazing way to absorb the sights and sounds. You can also witness the monumental buildings set along wide boulevards of Lutyens' New Delhi, including the President's residence and India Gate.

 

Day 3: One Day Tour of Agra

Depart Delhi this morning in good time to travel south to Agra. You can either travel by road with your private guide which is a three hour trip on the express highway or can board the train. Depending on the timing of the train, the rail journey will take longer as compared to driving, but it does offer an amazing experience. You'd be guided onto the train and met at the other end by another private guide. In the afternoon, head out for a guided walk around Agra's sights, such as the splendid Mogul Red Fort. The Red Fort is an amazing preview to visit the Taj Mahal in the morning. The two were constructed during the same period and share much history.

 

Day 4: Heading to Jaipur

Today, get ready for an early start so as to capture the Taj Mahal at sunrise with a private guided tour. Make sure to explore the surrounding gardens and the mosque. After breakfast, you’ll be driven to Jaipur from Agra stopping on your way to visit Fatehpur Sikri, the mystifying and gorgeous deserted capital of Emperor Akbar which was once abandoned when water supplies dried up. The journey will take around 5 hours, but your guide will suggest you places to stop and visit en route.

 

Day 5: Full Day Tour of Jaipur

Get ready today for a full day sightseeing in and around the 'Pink City' of Jaipur with your private guide. In the morning, you will visit the spectacular Amber Palace. The capital of the Kachwaha Rajputs until 1727, this fort complex is a stunning place to visit. Back in the center of the city, uncover the treasures of the City Palace which houses a crucial museum, the detailed facade of The Palace of the Winds and also the interesting Jantar Mantar Observatory.  

 

Day 6: Venturing to Barli

Continue your voyage west today further into Rajasthan as you travel to the rural village of Barli with your private guide. The journey takes around 4 hours, as you leave the city behind and observe the scenery change into the countryside.

 

Day 7: Exploring Barli

Today is entirely free for you to explore at your own pace. You can also opt for an escorted tour of the fort with the staff or explore the nearby villages by bullock cart.

 

Day 8: Traversing to Jodhpur

This morning, you’ll depart Barli and proceed further to Jodhpur, which is dearly known as the Blue City. Settle back into city life by relishing a drink on the rooftop terrace, as your hotel boasts fabulous views of the fort.

 

Day 9: Private Tour of Jodhpur

Today you're met by your private guide and taken for a thrilling private tour of the city. Visit the magnificent Meherangarh Fort which stands overlooking the entire of Jodhpur as well as getting the opportunity to explore the busy streets and blue houses. Later, you may wish to spend the remaining of the afternoon uncovering the bazaars situated around the clock tower.

 

Day 10: Visiting Chanoud

Today, you’ll travel 3 hours south with your private guide to Chanoud where the remaining of the day is at your leisure. Your hosts are remarkably welcoming and will assist you in settling into the 300-year-old palace which will give you a chance to experience the historic side of Rajasthan.

 

Day 11: Chanoud Exploration

Day 12: Heading to Udaipur

Continue your journey south today to Udaipur, via the splendid Kumbalgarh Fort and Temple at Ranakpur. The temple is a prestigious Jain temple and is definitely one of the most splendid temples to visit while in Rajasthan. This journey is a 3-hour drive, though you may wish to spend longer traveling, taking your time to walk up to Kumbhalgarh Fort.

 

Day 13: A Private Full Day Tour of Udaipur

Today you're met by your private guide and taken for a fascinating private tour of Udaipur, the gorgeous city of lakes. Explore many of the city highlights including the City Palace which was constructed in an extravagant style and is considered the largest of its type in the state. The remaining of the afternoon is free for you to enjoy soaking up this beautiful city before your journey home tomorrow.

 

Day 14: Departure Back Home

Leave India behind today and board your onward flight back home. Generally, you have to depart via Delhi or Mumbai from Udaipur to catch an international flight.
