The Skanderbeg Square is one of the top attractions in Albania and a perfect place to begin your Albania Tour. Albania Tour Itinerary would certainly cover the top attractions that will add value and fun to your Albania Tour. The Skanderbeg Square is the main plaza in the center of the city, which is named after the Albanian national hero Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbeu. There are many buildings that are situated in the square, including the Palace of Culture, the Tirana International Hotel, the National Opera, the National Library, the Ethem Bey Mosque, the Clock Tower, the City Hall, the National Historical Museum and many more. You would spend a day exploring these building that are the main attractions of the city. In the evening, you can come back to your hotel and take some rest after having your meal at the hotel.

On the second day, you can head to the south towards Park Rinia to check out the fountains. After spending time there, you can then move to the notorious Pyramid. This is how you can wrap up your second day of your Albania Tour on the Albania Tour Itinerary.

Day 3 & 4: Berat & Gjirokaster

According to the Albania tour itinerary, the third day is reserved for Berat, which is the first of the three Albanian UNESCO sites that you would visit during your Albania tour. The town has a lot of castles that are built on the top of the hill and you can find some of the best restaurants in Albania. This is one of the best places in Albania where one can wander around in and can easily spend a day. After spending a day here wandering the Berat, it is time to wrap up your third day by having an amazing meal at the hotel. You surely would require some rest after spending a day in exploring the place.  The next day, the fourth day of the tour calls for a visit to Gjirokaster in order to experience the best UNESCO sites in Albania. Both Gjirokaster and Berat are listed with UNESCO for the reason of being surrounded by the castles on the hill. However, both the towns have a different atmosphere. Coming to the Gjirokaster’s castle, it has also a castle on the hill, but this castle is not the highlight of the town. Instead, the narrow streets and historic houses from the Ottoman period are something that grabs your eyeballs instantly. Therefore, spend a day there to explore all the main attractions of the city and if possible, book a hotel that is nearby one of these historic homes.
