If You Like This Trendy Vacation Spot Then You Should Try

There are a lot of hip, trendy places for vacation spread across the world. Still, if you like the idea of visiting some of these top travel destinations, and don’t want to jostle in the crowds, here are some likely alternatives for you to consider. Take a look.

1. If You Like Copenhagen, Denmark...

Copenhagen, Denmark has something for everyone whether you are into architecture, cycling, food or furniture.  The metropolis is also quite proud of its ancient Viking heritage.  In fact, they have even recreated a Viking village that is reportedly the epitome of Nordic cool.

Then You Should Try: Oslo, Norway

Oslo also has a significant Viking heritage.  The city also has a noteworthy Medieval past that remains connected to the present via the architecture.  It also has great shopping, inventive food and is generally very walkable.  In fact, if you love nature there are a lot of easily accessible fjord-sides hiking trails to enjoy as well.  Lt has become the fastest growing city on the continent.

2. If You Like Tulum, Quintana Roo, Mexico...

Celebrities and yogi types alike have favored Tulum due in part to its cliffside Caribbean beaches, relaxing atmosphere and historic Mayan ruins.

Then You Should Try Trancoso

Trancoso has what some might call an “under-the-radar vibe” and has garnered the attention of big names such as Naomi Campbell, Diane Von Furstenberg, and Robert and Cortney Novogratz.  The place seems made for Instagram with its colorful houses, palm tree-lined coastline and the sixteenth-century church in its historic main square. It also has a number of natural pools created by the area’s low tide and reefs.  If you’re into exercising, you can enjoy a capoeira lesson or epic (albeit cliché horseback ride along the beach.

3. If You Like Cartagena, Colombia...

Cartagena is known for its colorful architecture, colonial history and noteworthy Spanish forts constructed in the 17th century.  It made several “Best Places To Go” last year and remains a blossoming travel destination.  It also still retains this odd quality that allows a visitor to feel like the only tourist in town.

Then You Should Try: Quito, Ecuador

Quito has some significant examples of colonial architecture too.  It’s also even more “under the radar” than Cartagena.  It’s also quite close to both dormant volcanoes and even active ones for those who like it hot.  You can even book your stay in a hotel that is situated next door to a volcano.  If you like the beach, you can cut through the jungle and you’re right there.  There is also a nearby waterfall and places to hike if you’re interested.

4. If You Like Iceland...

Complete with nearly surreal natural surroundings and friendly natives, Iceland is surprisingly popular to those in the know.  It offers assorted activities from glacier climbing to hanging out in a bubbling geothermal pool (for the less adventurous).

Then You Should Try: Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada

Newfoundland and Labrador, on the east coast of Canada, have grassy oceanside hills that easily compete with Iceland when it comes to natural beauty.  The area is also reportedly a great place to ogle icebergs.  Indeed, if that’s something of interest to you then you mustn’t miss a group of them named “Iceberg Alley.”  You can even take a special boat tour through the icy behemoths if you don’t mind feeling very, very small of course.
