Enjoy The California State Fair And The Music Of Eileen Carey
Are you vacationing in California? Why not check out The 2016 California State Fair at 1600 Exposition Boulevard in Sacramento, California which runs from July 8 to July 24, 2016. For 17 days the fun will start at 10 a.m. and run through 10 p.m each day. This will reportedly be a family-friendly event fun, food, drinks, and music. As this piece goes to press the live music lineup will feature numerous acts on almost a dozen different stages across the fairgrounds.
The event will feature the highly illustrious California-based country singer, musician, and songwriter, Eileen Carey will be performing with her official band on the Promenade Stage on Wednesday, July 20 at 1 p.m. Carey has performed the fairs and festivals in L.A. County, Orange County, San Diego, Venice, Del Mar and Apple Valley on a regular basis since 2009. Fans of the country music genre have no doubt heard her hit songs (“Bottle Your Crazy Up", “Faith” and “Sweet Love”). Others have even seen her perform live at such other venues as Nashville’s Rippy’s and Tootsie’s.
Featured on KCAL-9/CBS LA’s The Weekend Morning Show this past January, the Ohio native is not only “a gal with a guitar” but an actress, as well. Carey’s resume also includes portraying “the country music mom figure in the Nick Jr. docu-comedy Take Me To Your Mother in 2014. In addition to that particular role, her motion picture credits include such feature films as Basic Instinct, Hoffa, and even Batman. Carey, who is also presently an “artist-ambassador” for the Supercuts beauty salon chain, has also scored appearances in numerous past advertising campaigns including the popular Ray Charles Diet Pepsi commercials. For those unfamiliar with the artist in question, Carey has also garnered a number of additional awards. She won the Americana Album of the Year award at the Los Angeles Music Award in 2009, the Producer’s Choice Award for the category: “Dance Single of the Year” in 2010 and the New Music Weekly Country Breakout Artist of the Year, 2016 award. She was also designed National Radio Hits’ Favorite Female Country Artist of the Year 2016. One upcoming gig this September will include opening for the Nelsons at the Canyon Club in Agoura Hills, California. She also spends part of her personal time working to find good homes for stray and abused animals. In fact, last summer she teamed up with Morgan Fairchild to co-produce an outdoor benefit for the free animal clinic in Los Angeles called Fixation, at The Autry (Museum) in Griffith Park. She also opened for Carl Verheyen in the same charity event.
Single Ticket Admission prices for this all ages event range from $6.00 to $12.00 depending on the day of purchase and age of the purchaser. There are also special group rates and promotional days that include special prices as well. Tickets may be purchased in advance or at the gate. ATMs may be available on site for those who prefer not to carry a lot of cash. Backpacks and purses may be randomly checked upon admittance.
