Tips for Cruise Goers
Cruises are popular among travelers mainly because they’re easy on the budget, and are great for sampling destinations. It’s no wonder then that the cruise industry revenue for the US is up to $37.85 Billion. If you’re planning to go on a cruise anytime soon, read on. The following tips will not only ensure that you have a lot of fun on board the ship, but they will also allow you to have a more pleasant experience when you return to dry land.
Have someone check up on your home
Going on a lengthy cruise? Assign a friend or neighbor to stop by your place every few days to pick up the mail and newspaper. You might also want to buy automatic lights that turn on and off on schedule so that your house won’t look too dark and empty at night. A deserted house is like flypaper to intruders and burglars, so it’s best to set up the illusion that someone’s home to fend off people up to no good.
Keep track of your board charge cards
Be sure to keep an eye on the balance of your board charge cards so that you’re always on top of your spending. You want to know how much you can use, and if you have money left over at end of your trip.
The last thing you want is to be stuck in the middle of nowhere without a change of clothes or extra batteries. With that said, be sure think ahead and bring extras of the essentials. That includes batteries, cash, pertinent documents, and clothes. After all, it’s better to be safe than sorry. Keep those extras organized and out of the way, though. Don’t mix them up with the stuff that you’re constantly going to use or pick up.
