Planning a Trip to Six Flags Magic Mountain
Six Flags Magic Mountain is a famous theme park located in Valencia – California. It is the 19th most famous theme park of the world with respect to its yearly attendance. Many of its star rides are built and designed by the ‘Arrow Development C.’, which designed and fabricated many of Disneyland’s original attractions. Magic Mountain was the first theme park to have a 360-degree looping roller coaster in 1976. Before that, though, many tried this idea but were dismantled because of safety reasons.
Apocalypse is considered one of the most thrilling rides in the park. It is a wooden roller coaster with a length of about 2,800 feet. It has a height restriction of a minimum of 4 feet. It has a theme of the Terminator movie from Hollywood with the original soundtrack of the movie. DO not forget to shout out loud ‘Take the Tunnel!!!’ when you go through one during the Apocalypse ride. Two tunnels and couple of sharp turns really twist your belly.
X2 is an amazing 4D ride. It has 360-degree rotating seats with sensory effect. It also has few faces down drops during the ride. This ride has taken the thrill to a new level with its 3,600-foot maze of steel track. It is a ride that keeps you guessing about what’s coming next. In fact, for many, there will even be no time to guess once the ride starts.
Full Throttle is a ride that has been introduced this year in the theme park. One word which sums up all about this ride is simple: “EXTREME”. It has the biggest loop in the world on a roller coaster ride. The G forces and the hang time you get are the most amazing. It slows down as you reach the top of the loop and the blood just rushes to your head. As you go down, you gain speed and go through some turns and reach a tunnel. A halt in the tunnel makes you feel as though the ride is broken until you are launched backward with a surprise and then again forward as the third launch. Full throttle is all thumbs up for adrenalin lovers.
Tatsu Ride is a ride with a variety of experiences in it. Corkscrew motion and face down drop giving you a total of 5 G-force. The ride has many loops soaring upwards and downwards. The most dangerous part of is the floater effect, giving the riders a heart-pounding moment for a few seconds.
Other thrilling rides not to be missed include:
- BATMAN the Ride
- Green Lantern: First Flight
- Sling Shot
- The Riddler’s Revenge
- SUPERMAN: Escape from Krypton
There are over 30 rides at the Magic Mountain theme park. The thrill of the rides ranges from maximum to mild. There are many automatic cameras that take your pictures during rides and give you the option of buying them on your way out. The images are printed on canvas frames to be displayed on the walls of your room at home. There are height restrictions on many and may also require an adult accompanying the minor. The Theme park is one of the places to be if you love roller coaster rides.
