DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Welcome to the Mother City!

Step into the vibrant city of Cape Town which is also known as the Mother City of South Africa. At the exit doors of the airport, you will meet your guide waiting to receive you. Let him carry your baggage and get transferred to your comfortable rented vehicle. Your villa would be at a short distance from the airport because of which your travel time does undergo a minor cut. The ambiance of the villa has been kept as quiet as possible as this is what most of the travelers seek when on a South Afric trip. But, this tranquility does not mean that you will have limited access to the wonders of Cape Town. You will be glad to find your villa connecting the famous restaurants and streets of the town closely.

Depending upon the time of your arrival, you can plan the schedule for the first day of South Africa Safari tour. You can either pay a short visit to nearby places or simply enjoy relaxing on the premises of the villa. The choice is all yours.

Day 2-5: Beginning of Big Game Safari in Sabi Sands

Wake up early in the morning to kick-start the much-awaited South Africa Big Game Safari. You will take a short flight to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport, from where you will be transferred into one of the Kruger’s brightest gems, the Sabi Sands. Reaching the destination, you will be settled into a luxurious lodge nestled in a gorgeous indigenous garden boasting tall trees and lush green lawns.

The lodge itself is enough to soak your eyes with incredible views of the Mother Nature. Facilities like a private deck, swimming pool, lush-green lawns allow you to spot as many animals as you can count from a short distance. You can imagine yourself sitting at the edge of the swimming pool while enjoying bird watching. The frequent visit of animals like resident ground squirrels, vervet monkeys, families of warthogs and nyala antelope adds more value to the lodge. If you are not game driving, you are definitely enjoying birdwatching or animal watching from your private deck.

After tasting the thin slices of wilderness from your lodge, it’s time to take a step ahead. Today, you will visit another gemstone of South Africa which is Sabi Sands - the home of mammals over 500 bird species, and Africa’s legendary Big 5. You will be surprised to know that this private game reserve shares an unfenced border with Kruger National Park which doubles the excitement.

A private guide will meet you at the lodge in the mid-morning. Go and sit with him to discuss the schedule of the day. The game drives will be full of excitement as you will be on a hunt of spotting the lions, elephants, leopards, and some of the rare species of rhinos. Watch them as closely as the distance of 7 meters. Some of such sights can actually rattle your nerves but this is what you might be looking in your trip, right? So, enjoy being in the kingdom of animals. Try to sync with their way of living life. Get inspired by the excellent camps and wonderful views this park offers to every visitor. This would be the best day in your entire South Africa Safari tour.

Day 6-8: Taking a Turn to “the smoke that thunders”

No trip to South Africa is complete without inculcating Victoria Falls into it and so would be this. After witnessing the wilderness of the lush-green private game reserve of Sabi Sands and the vibrant city of Cape Town, it’s finally the time to take a turn to the majestic Victoria Falls which is aptly named as “The Smoke that Thunders”. Victoria Falls is the largest waterfall on Earth and one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the world. One of the best things to do here is the guided tour of the Falls which is kind of spellbinding. Apart from this, the area offers a couple of exhilarating heart-racing activities of which white-water rafting, bungee jumping, zip lining, and micro-lighting are some. In case, you are visiting the Falls during the low-water season( from August to December), do not miss to take a dip in the famed Devil’s Pool – a natural rock pool at the very edge of the Falls’ Zambia side. For more fun and adventure, take a turn to the Zambezi and opt for river sunset boat cruises or day trips to the surrounding wildlife parks.

Day 9: Hluhluwe & Imfolozi National Park

While reaching towards the end of your South Africa Safari tour, you won’t mind adding two more parks in your itinerary. Precisely said, there would be no South Africa without the national parks. These parks, being a manmade habitat of the wilds, add some kind of beauty to its existence. It would be safe to say that these parks also contribute to the rising popularity South Africa is gaining in the tourism sector. An ideal South African safari would start from a visit to one of the national parks and so would be yours. Wake up early in the morning, get done with your breakfast, and drive to the Imfolozi National Park. Most probably, your South Africa Vacation Package would provide you a private vehicle and a guide to drive along with. In case you are not aware, this park is the oldest game reserve of South Africa and is dominated by white and black rhino population. The largest population of rhinos is found in the game reserve of Hluhluwe & Imfolozi which is an amazing thing.

Day 10: Farewell Africa!

Your 10 days Tour in South Africa is finally completing and today you will be saying Cheerios to the scenic beauty of this place. With lots of special memories in your heart, you will transfer to the airport for a happy return. Do not miss to enjoy your farewell breakfast in the hotel before the exit formalities. You will love the sweet gesture shown by the hotel staff.
