DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Johannesburg

You will arrive Johannesburg in the late evening which is actually good because this way, you will get a whole night to relax in your hotel room. A representative from the hotel will meet you at the airport. Let him receive your luggage and be seated into his vehicle to get transferred to your pre-booked hotel. The good part about this South Africa Safari itinerary is that it focuses on maximizing pleasure and minimizing travel duration. Booking a hotel nearby to the airport is a clear example of the same. Within a few minutes, you will reach a luxurious South Africa hotel to jump into your bed for a good night’s sleep. If you are a person who finds trouble sleeping in the plane, reaching your hotel on time would be a thing of joy for you.

Day 2-4: Kruger National Park

Wake up early in the morning and get ready to kick-start the much-awaited South Africa Safari. You must be waiting to spot the big five and today is the day of the same. Your guide will meet you at the hotel in the mid-morning. Go and sit with him to discuss the schedule of the day. After a small briefing, you will be leaving for Kruger National Park with lunch en-route. You will enter from the southwest and will be spending the first two nights in the spacious bungalows at the main camp, Skukuza.

The morning of the third day of your trip will mark the beginning of your South Africa safari. Today, you will explore the 2 million-hectare haven of Kruger National Park which is also home to the Big Five and many other species, including birds and plants. The game drives will be full of excitement as you will be on a hunt of spotting the lions, elephants, leopards, and some of the rare species of rhinos. Watch them as closely as the distance of 7 meters. Some of such sights can actually rattle your nerves but this is what you might be looking in your trip, right? So, enjoy being in the kingdom of animals. Try to sync with their way of living life. Get inspired by the excellent camps and wonderful views this park offers to every visitor.

Day 5-7: Private Game Reserve – Tshukudu

The best part about the African Safaris is that you get to experience different things at different places without having a major change in the type of wildlife that dominates such places. This is what you are going to experience in your next destination which is Private Game Reserve – Tshukudu. After having breakfast and a morning game drive, you will depart Kruger National Park for Private Game Reserve. As per its name suggests, the reserve is completely private to be enjoyed and that makes it stand out from the crowd. Here, you will spend another three days relaxing and exploring the top attractions of this place at the comfort of wonderful lodges.

You will get some close encounter with lions and leopards. In fact, you are even allowed to touch a leopard within the safe boundaries. This doubles the excitement which is actually required on an African Safari. The nights in the reserve are full of life. After spending full days game driving in the forest, the nights have to be relaxing and mind-chilling. That’s why the lodge serves you dinner in open with magnificent views of an open sky full of stars. Dinner is served in a traditional “Boma” around a blazing fire.

Day 8: Sabi Sands Game Reserve

If you really want to witness the wilderness in the wild, you need to visit Sabi Sands which is also home to Kruger National Park, the largest park in the world. Sabi Sands is known for its vast population of white Rhinos which sometimes symbolizes this place. Not only rhinos, but Sabi Sands is also home to millions of antelope, and the full smorgasbord of predators. The best part about the reserve is that it is fence-free. This means, the wildlife in this reserve actually roams freely on the roads. Hence, while game driving in the reserve you may notice a couple of animals just in front of your rented vehicle. It may be a rhino, an elephant, or even a big cat. Stay alert!

Day 9: Table Mountains

The adventure in South Africa is not limited to spotting big cats but also witnessing the imperious and the legendary table mountains. These flat-topped mountains form a prominent landmark that overlooks the city of Cape Town in South Africa. Book a full day guided tour to the Table Mountains and soak your eyes with the magnificent picturesque scenery that these mountains create. Do not miss the magnificent panoramic views from Signal Hill. They are simply spellbinding.

Day 10: Victoria Falls and a U-turn to Johannesburg

If you are in South Africa but haven’t visited the majestic Victoria Falls, are you really in South Africa? As you proceed towards the end of this South Africa Safari Holiday itinerary, you will see things getting drifted from wild to the vibrant.
