Miami is a major city located in the southeast part of Florida. Also known as the 'Gateway to the Americas,' Miami is the international center for arts, entertainment, finance, education, and commerce. It is also known for its wonderful beaches that attract millions of tourists every year.

Miami is the 43rd most populous city in the United States, with a population of 424,662 in the city alone and 5.4 million on the Metropolitan area, with 66.6% of the populated by White Americans and 65.8% Hispanic or Latinos, becoming the fourth largest urbanized area in the United States. The city's population grew in recent years due to internal migration from other neighboring countries (Jamaica, Haiti, Trinidad and Tobago, and the Bahamas) as well as by immigration.

The city climate is hot and humid summers and short, warm winters, and dry winter season. The Average Winter temperature is 60-75 degrees F (15-24 degrees C) and 80-90 degrees F (29-32 degrees C) during the summer. The rainfall season begins sometime in May ending in mid-October while hurricane season runs from June 1 through November 30.

Miami is home to many cultural venues such as the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts. It was Florida's largest performing arts center, third largest in the United States, and is located in the heart of downtown Miami. Built in 1929, The Arsht Center is the home of the Florida Gran Opera, Miami City Ballet, and New World Symphony and became a national landmark in 1997.

This city is also well known for hosting many sports venues, particularly the Super Bowl. The Sun Life Stadium (formerly known as Dolphin Stadium) is a multi-purpose stadium located in the suburbs of Miami. It is the home of the Miami Dolphins and Florida Marlins. Since its construction in 1987, the stadium has hosted five Super Bowls and three Orange Bowls. In January 2010, the Miami Dolphins signed a five year deal to rename Dolphin Stadium to Sun Life Stadium, for which it is still named as of today.

There is no doubt that Miami has one of the largest media market in the state of Florida. Miami has several newspapers known in the entire country, such as The Miami Herald and El Nuevo Hearld, the largest Spanish-language newspaper. It is also the headquarters and main production locations of many of the world's largest Latin television networks such as Telemundo, TeleFutura, Univision, Galavision, Universal Music Latin, Sunbeam Television, and many more.
